She was predeceased by: her parents, Hatler McClanahan and Nobie McClanahan; and her siblings, Earl Ray McClanahan and Wanda Lou Baker. She is survived by: her pets, Jack, Cooper and Leroy; her husband H. C. "Hoss" Van Meter; her son Christoper Runyon of Christiansburg, Virginia.; her brother Jackie McClanahan (Barbara) of Harman; her brother-in-law Jim Baker (Virginia) of Grundy; her nieces and nephews, Susan Raines (Bill) of Grundy, Tammy Edwards (Rick) of Winston Salem, David McClanahan (Ginny) of Harman and Teddy McClanahan of Richlands; her stepchildren, Leanne Van Meter of Grundy, Todd Van Meter of Grundy and Dia Rife (David) of Grundy, Virginia.; and her close friends, Robin Viers, Shawna Charles, Linda Looney and Pat Laumann. She is also survived by several great nieces and nephews, along with lifelong friends.
