He is survived by: his wife Geneva Carol Black Compton of Vansant, VA; his daughter Michelle Compton Harbin of Vansant, VA; his siblings, Ona Edith Compton of Vansant, VA, Van Dora Howell of Vansant, VA, Claude Compton of Haysi, VA and Ronnie Compton of Vansant, VA.; and his grandson Hunter Reece Harbin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
