It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Iris Anderson Hayes of Vansant, Virginia, who passed away on February 4, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Garland Anderson and Mamie Anderson; her brother Fred Anderson; and her sister-in-law Nila Anderson. She is survived by: her husband Paul Hayes; her children, Paula Hayes Batson (Arnold) and David Hayes of Simpsonville; her siblings, Margaret Anderson Looney (Virginia) of Vansant and Ralph Anderson (Peggy) of Simpsonville; her grandchildren, Anna Katherine Hale of Gray Court, Caroline Owens (Brandon) of Pounding Mill, Virginia and Anderson Hayes of Simpsonville; and her great grandchildren, Weston Owens of Pounding Mill, Virginia and Ellie Walker of Simpsonville. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She organized blood drives, and brought together a group of fantastic volunteers, fed, ministered to, and served those who came to donate life.
