She was predeceased by: her parents, Jewel Ratliff and Jenny Keen Ratliff; her husband Hearl Lee Shortridge; her daughters, Janet Leonard, Margaret Roark and Deborah Shortridge; and her siblings, Betty McKinley, Herbert Ratliff, Donald Ratliff and Billy Ratliff.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Wilson (Eddie) of Vansant, VA, Jerry Shortridge (Cindy) of Pilgrims Knob, VA and Randy Shortridge (Peggy) of Grundy, VA; her siblings, Ann Brewer of Roanoke, VA and Bobby Wayne Ratliff (Renee) of Hardy, VA.; and her grandchildren, Mason Roark, Jenna Roark, Brian Shortridge, Melody O'Quinn, Brooke Belcher, Britney James and Elmer Gene Boyd. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home (1021 Six And Twenty Mile Br Rd, Grundy, VA 24614). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
