He is survived by: his wife Ilene Ratliff Shortridge of Vansant, VA; his children, Shirley Wilson (Eddie) of Grundy, VA, Deborah Shortridge of Vansant, VA, Jerry Shortridge (Cindy) of Pilgrims Knob, VA and Randy Shortridge (Peggy) of Grundy, VA; his siblings, Bonnie Copenhaver (James) of Bristol, VA, Henry Shortridge (Jenny) of Grundy, VA and Jimmy Shortridge (Della) of Vansant, VA.; and his grandchildren, Mason Roark, Jenna Alexander, Brian Shortridge, Melody O'Quinn, Brooke Belcher, Britney James and Elmer Gene Boyd. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
