He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Viers and Sarah Alice Viers; his grandson Andrew Seth Viers; his brothers, Fred Viers, Francis Viers and Johnny Viers; his parents-in-law, John Henry and Nancy Owens (Viers); and his siblings-in-law, Hattie Looney (Walter), Clara Looney (Hank), Ellen Meadows (Parlie), Cleo Looney (Harve), Merle Owens, Evelyn Davis (Kester), Clayton Owens, Clinton Owens (Maxine) and Aven Owens (Jo).
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Viers (Owens) of Vansant, VA; his children, Sonja Ann Viers of Vansant, VA, Eural Anthony Viers (Samatha) of Vansant, VA and Craig Dwayne Viers (Nancy Michele) of Vansant, VA; his grandchildren, Ethan Tate Viers and Maggie Claire Viers; and his siblings, Izetta Turner of Bristol, VA, Jeanette Drew of San Mateo, FL, Marie Wolford (Benny) of Grundy, VA and Thurman Viers (Faye) of Church Hill, TN.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
