He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Basil Looney and Macie Rife Looney; and his parents-in-law, Dewey H. and Virginia Smith. He is survived by: his wife Katherine Christina Smith Looney of Vansant, VA; his siblings, Madge Osborne (Bobby) of Richlands, VA, Deboria Osborne of Pilgrims Knob, VA, Earl Basil Looney, Jr. (Tina) of Pilgrims Knob, VA, Randy Looney (Diana) of Whitewood, VA and Franklin Looney (Adonna) of Pilgrims Knob, VA; his siblings-in-law, Sarita Smith of Grundy, VA and Harold David Smith of Grundy, VA.; and his nephews, Kevin Keen, Mason Looney, Nathan Looney, Adam Looney, Cody Looney, Jeremy Osborne and Dillan Keen. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel of Keen Mountain, VA, Wednesday, August 12th after 6:00 p. m. with evening service to be held at 7:00 p. m. Due to COVID 19, visitors are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
