In loving memory of David Edward Sayers of Vansant, Virginia, born in Grundy, Virginia, who departed this world on December 2, 2024 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Sayers and Elsie Sayers (Looney); his siblings, Billy Joe Sayers and Jacqueline Sayers; his sister-in-law Mary Elizabeth Sayers; his stepson William Douglas Borup; and his great grandchild Austin Cicchinelli.
He is survived by: his wife Patty of Vansant, VA; his children, Fred Lee Sayers (Julia) of Paris, KY, Cheryl Ann Daniels (Steve) of Lake Waynoka, OH, Martha Sayers and Garry William Sayers (Diane) of Cincinnati, OH; his stepchildren, Debra Colley (James) of Abingdon, VA, Michael Stacy of Bristol, TN and Ronald Stacy (Mary) of Vansant, VA; and his nephews, James David, William, Kevin and Robert Sayers of San Antonio, TX.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Looney's Chapel United Methodist Church (1125 Leemaster Dr, Vansant, VA 24656).
The family requests no flowers etc., asking instead that donations to your favorite charity be made in memory of David Sayers.
