He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest M. Looney and Stella Faye Deel Looney; his brother Louie Allen Looney; and his brothers-in-law, Wesley Cook, James Skeens and Dot Lee Rutherford.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta Bowman Looney of Vansant, VA; his son Benjamin Eric Looney (Nicole) of Vansant, VA; his grandchildren, Evan Benjamin Looney and Ava Elizabeth Looney of Vansant, VA; his siblings, Kendall Looney (Phyllis), Bobby Looney (Norma) of Vansant, Samuel Looney of Bristol, TN, Janet Skeens of Vansant, Evelyn Rutherford of Vansant, Linda Lockhart (Jim) of Vansant, Dr. Carolyn Sims (David) of Birmingham, AL and Eleanor Hess (Curtis) of Bristol, TN.; and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Looney, Charles Bowman (Cindy), Danny Bowman (Debbie) and Johnny Bowman (Debbie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
