It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alverta Wake of Urbanna, Virginia, who passed away on June 28, 2021, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by: her husband Herman Wake, Jr.; and her children, Tryphena Gray of White Plains, MD, Anna Lisa Wake of Newport News, Xavier Carey of Richmond, Jimmy Wake of Maryland, Herman Wake III of Newport News and Jason Wake of Saluda.
