The passing of Lester Earl Dunaway Jr. of Unionville, Virginia, born in Louisa, Virginia leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 29, 2025 at the age of 86. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Earl Dunaway Sr. and Frances Gooch Dunaway; his son David Dunaway; his brother Lewis Dunaway; and his brother-in-law William Faulconer (Bill).
He is survived by: his wife Hilda Sue Dunaway; his children, Deborah Dunaway Roberts of Williamsburg, Shelly Verling of Rapidan, Nan Ducker (Steve) of Leland and Grant Verling (Tina) of Louisa, Virginia.; his grandsons, Joshua Roberts, Grant Ducker and Noah Verling Abigale Verling (Carlee); his great grandchild Tate Verling; and his siblings, Ann D. Faulconer, John Dunaway (Rose), Wayne Dunaway (June), Bruce Dunaway (Barbara) and Larry Dunaway (Jamie). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home and Crematory (31440 Constitution Hwy, Locust Grove, VA 22508). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
