She was predeceased by: her parents, Philip Carter, Sr and Viola Mills; her daughter Pamela Carter; and her siblings, Joanne Creasy, Geraldine Jackson, Henry Joseph Carter Sr, Theodore Carter and Sterling Rawlings.
She is survived by: her children, Jamie Carter (David), Stacey Carter, Stanley Carter, William Carter (Odella) and Samuel Carter (Yolanda); her siblings, Helen Brown, Barbara Pendleton, Teresa Carter (Odell), Abigail Martin (Orlando), Philip Carter (Joanne), James Carter, Clifford Carter (Julia), Thomas Carter, Stanley Carter and Cornelius Carter; her aunts, Ruth Wells and Jamie Mills; and her friend Waddell Wells. She is also survived by four grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
