She was predeceased by: her father Arthur Lee Smiley. She is survived by: her husband Troy Samuel; her sons, Jacob Ray Samuel, Lucas Howard Samuel and Arthur Caleb "A. C."; her granddaughters, Bentley and Brooklyn; her mother Lucie Buchanan; her stepfather Duncan Buchanan; her brother William Smiley; and her mother-in-law Stacey Samuel of Powhatan.
