With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carroll Smith Leathers (Troy, Virginia), who passed away on October 26, 2019 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy F. Smith and Bessie Frances Hiden; her husband Charles H. Leathers, Sr.; her sister Alice Smith Wood; and her niece Kathy Wood Hall.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Harvey Leathers Jr (Pam), Keith Leathers (Maryellen), Crystal Leathers Marrs (Steve) and Ellen Leathers Winston; her brother Russell W. Smith; her sister-in-law Nora Smith; her grandchildren, Sterling Sligh, Jacobi Leathers (Jessica), Eric Leathers (Kristin), Mark Leathers (Toral), Sarah Leathers Foster (Pete), Rachel Leathers, Taylor Leathers Griffith (Troy), Stephanie Marrs Tighe (Mike), Jonathan Marrs (Melissa), Daniel Marrs (Sarah), Nathaniel Winston and Matthew Winston; her children-in-law, Martha "Dee" Leathers and David Winston; her siblings-in-law, Buddy Thomas and Helen Leathers; and her nieces, Sharon, Wanda, Melanie, Valerie, Victoria and Holly. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and how easily she made friends.
