He is survived by: his wife Margaret Hylton Crawford; his daughters, Pamela Spradlin of Bedford and Lisa (Chris Thornton); his grandchildren, Justin Martin Eckert, Amber Marie Eckert and Lauren Marie Thornton; his stepchildren, Sheryl Etzler, Dale Crawford of Roanoke, Jay and Carole Etzler of Troutville; his stepgrandson John Etzler; his sister Betty Paxton of Boones Mill; his niece Terri Mason; and his nephew Frank Paxton (Lisa).
