He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph W. Firebaugh and Esther N. Camper Firebaugh; and his sister-in-law Reba Firebaugh. He is survived by: his brother Roger Firebaugh; his niece Amanda Firebaugh; and his great-niece Brennan Firebaugh of Buchanan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cave Rock Baptist Church, 2233 Stoney Battery Road, Troutville, Virginia 24175; or to Troutville Fire Department and Rescue Squad, PO Box 609, Troutville, Virginia 24175.
