He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilmer Deacon and Liza Deacon (Muterspaw); his wife Thelma Boone Deacon; and his siblings, Frank Deacon and Shirley Deacon.
He is survived by: his stepsons, Ed Ross (Kerry) and Fred Ross (Carol); and his children, Barbara Deacon and Gerald Deacon (Sandy).
