It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna Waddell (Troutville, Virginia), who passed away on December 24, 2019, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David Claude and Meadie Cunningham Sherer; her husband William Theodore Waddell, Jr.; and her son Stephen Waddell. She is survived by: her children, William G. "Buddy" Waddell (Patsy) of Troutville, Karen Waddell Peery (Gary) of Buchanan, Donna Waddell Martin (Bobby) of Fincastle and Kathy Waddell Munsey (Kenny) of Buchanan; her grandchildren, Danny Peery (Denise), Jason Peery (Melissa), Matthew Munsey (Meghan), Kimberly Martin and Katie Vassar (Carl); her great grandchildren, Hannah Peery, Dakota Peery, Brie Baldwin, Chase Peery, Blake Peery, Luke Peery, Emerson Munsey, Sawyer Munsey, Caiden Henson, Collin Henson, Hailee Vassar, Natalee Vassar and Brantlee Vassar; her siblings-in-law, Faye Sherer, Barry Waddell and Richard Waddell; and her nephew Gerald David Hill (Ethel) of Oxford, AL. She is also survived by special friends; and her grand dog.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Glen Wilton United Methodist Church or to Springwood Baptist Church.
