She was predeceased by: her parents, William R. Key and Elizabeth Sublette Key; and her sister Betty A. Key. She is survived by: her husband Mason Whitenack; her sons, Andrew Whitenack of Los Angeles, CA and Carl Whitenack (Hannah); her granddaughters, Lucy, Bindi and Sadie Whitenack; and her brother Ralph Key (Helen) of Roanoke, Virginia..
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Oakey's East Chapel (5188 Cloverdale Rd, Roanoke, VA 24019). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Chapel (5737 Airport Rd NW, Roanoke, VA 24012).
