He was predeceased by: his parents, Ward John Hansen and Anne Rachel Erwin; and his siblings, James, Earl, Glenn and Loretta.

He is survived by: his children, Ronald Joseph Hansen, Lisa Anne Marie Hansen and Walter; his son-in-law Mark Jones of Colorado Springs, Colo.; his wife Marjorie; his daughter-in-law Kara of Phoenix, Ariz.; his granddaughter Sofia; and his sister Dorothy LaForte.
