With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gertrude Mazie Dyson (Triangle, Virginia), who passed away on January 22, 2022 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her aunt Gertrude Mazie Dyson; her husband James Thomas Dyson; her mother Mary Emma Smith; her stepfather John Smith; her grandson Darrick Carlos Neverson; and her sister Mary Luvenia Young.
She is survived by: her caregivers, Tarsha, Karen, Sheila and Gertrude; her stepdaughter Pearl Neverson; her grandchildren, Darryl Neverson and Diona Neverson; and also Mazie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
There are so many to thank at Morningside over the 10 years she was there, however during the past two most difficult years of a Pandemic, I especially want to thank Nurses Tarsha and Karen, and Ms. Sheila and all their staff for the loving care given to Gertrude as her health began to decline.
