She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hall and Mary Hall; her husband Chester Pettit, Jr.; her siblings, Hayden Hall (Rosetta), Brooks Hall (Christine), Juanita Hall-Humphreys (John), Irene Conquest (Fred), Inez Strand (Willie), Hilda of Washington and Thelma Williams (Clifton); her parents-in-law, Chester "Biggy" Pettit, Sr. and Dorothy Pettit; and her siblings-in-law, Charles Pettit, James Pettit and Mary Pettit.
She is survived by: her son Ashley G. Pettit (Kesha) of Onancock, VA; her granddaughter Layla Pettit; her sisters, Katherine Claud of Baltimore, MD and Mary White of Savageville, VA; her siblings-in-law, Clarence Pettit (Helen) of Wilmington, DE, Lonzo of Birmingham, AL and Gustava Pettit of Daugherty, VA; her friends, Tom and Arlene Riley of Savageville, VA; her stepchildren, Colette Pettit of Onancock, VA and Chester Pettit, III of Parksley, VA; her niece Rachel Hall; and her nephew Willie "Charlie" Strand. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
