He is survived by: his daughter Stella Rowland; his son-in-law John Rowland; his grandsons, Colton John and Eli William; and also Sergeant.

Anthony William Russ passed away peacefully after his battle with Alzheimer's (dementia) in the early morning on February 19, 2018 where he had been in the memory care unit at Brookdale of Arlington.
