She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Meekins and Alice Meekins; her husband Nathaniel Graves; her children, Keith Meekins and Barbara Prescott; her stepchildren, Ethel Williamson and Travis Graves; and her siblings, Joyce Meekins, Anita Meekins, Eliza Meekins, Rosemary Meekins, Ethel Meekins, Richard Meekins, Wardell Meekins and John Meekins.
She is survived by: her children, Vincent Meekins (Brenda), Robert Meekins, Theresa Graves, Evelyn Graves (Wayne), Nellie Washington (Chris), Charles Graves, Christopher Graves (Angel) and Trish Graves (Chuck); her sister Abbie Meekins; and her close friends, Gwen and Natalie. She is also survived by thirty-one grandchildren, fifty-three great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Monday, October 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chickahominy Baptist Church (2900 Chickahominy Rd, Toano, VA 23168). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 7th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
