She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bill Shurkey and Linda Adams Shurkey; her children, Kayla Hottinger of Harrisonburg and Matthew Hottinger of Timberville; her siblings, Angie Mayberry (Donnie) of Radford, Joe Shurkey and Jeff Shurkey (Diane "Cookie") of Timberville; her nieces, Sarah Ackers (Ian), Regina Mayberry and Isabel Ackers; and her pet Hope.
