She was predeceased by: her father Nelson Lehew; her husband Clayton Lee Ritter; and her stepson James Ritter. She is survived by: her children, Max Whetzel, Jr. (Dora Hager) of Broadway, Steve Whetzel, Michael Whetzel (Lolita) of Broadway and Barbara Ritchie of Timberville; her sisters, Elva Combs of Baker, WV and Bessie Combs of Stephens City; her grandchildren, Derek Jameson (Angela), Samantha Whetzel, Brandon Ritchie, Katlyn Shelton (Alvin) and Erika Whetzel; her great grandchildren, Ava Shelton, Juliana Etchebarne, Parker Jameson, Lucas Etchebarne and Presley Jameson; her stepchildren, Brenda Rexrode (Billy), Eugene Ritter (Annette) and Sandra Lucas (Steve); her siblings, Gladys Parker and Lane Parker; and her friend Katlyn. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
