It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garland Richard Stroop of Timberville, Virginia, born in Harrisonburg, Virginia, who passed away on October 8, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Frederick and Dessie Wilkins Stroop; his brother Brenton Stroop; and his stepbrother Jimmy Wilkins. He is survived by: his sister Sharon S. May (Bill) of Broadway; his nephew Chris Rush (Sheli) of Singers Glen; his great-nephew Gavin Rush of Singers Glen; and his nephews, Rick May of Fulks Run and Michael May of Dayton.
