She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley William and Lottie Catherine Higgs Messick; and her daughter Julie Keister. She is survived by: her son David Estes of Broadway; and her brother Weldon Messick of Staunton. She is also survived by five grandchildren, a number of great grandchildren.
