It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sandra Reader Childress of Thaxton, Virginia, born in Ripley, Oklahoma, who passed away on July 26, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Reader and Vern Lucille Ballard Reader; her husband Kelly Lee Childress; and her sister Delores Behrens. She is survived by: her children, Brian Childress, Ginger Walker, Tracy Vines and Kelly Carter; her sister Elizabeth Caudle; and her grandchildren, Bobby Carter, Maverick Carter, Randi Carter, Shane Vines, Katlyn Kaminsky, Bailey Childress and Keith Childress.
