He is survived by: his wife Rickie Ferris Carter; his children, Shannon Davis Carter, Jonathan Carter, Tammy St, Clair Chapman (Robert) and Toby Blaine St; his grandchildren, Destiny Carter, Sydney Carter and Robbie Chapman; his siblings, Peggy Carter Nester, Joyce Carter, James "Blu" Carter (Debbie), Linda Carter Savage (Vann) and Debora Carter (Teresa Hodges); his brothers-in-law, James Edward "Butch" Ferris (Peggy) and Alan Lee Ferris (Shirl); and his mother-in-law Ruth Ferris. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and friends.
