It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Edward Maxey of Thaxton, Virginia, who passed away on November 15, 2024, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Mark departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Mark may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Mark leaves behind.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Lotz Funeral Home (1001 Franklin Rd SW, Roanoke, VA 24016). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The American Cancer Society or The American Forestry Association.
