He was predeceased by: his parent Otto Thomas Heck; and his siblings, Marvin Heck, Otey Heck, Andrew Heck, George Heck, Lula Dooley and Josephine Heck.
He is survived by: his son James "Darryl" Heck (Dreama); his stepgranddaughter Jessica Saunders; and his siblings, Ray Heck (Mary), Pauline St, Faye Carter (Tommy), Mildred Carter (Obie) and Kelly Mitchell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
