He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Bell and Alice Bowyer Quarles of Blue Ridge. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Anderson Quarles; his children, Robert Mitchell Quarles (Bobby), Sylvia Bailey (Donnie) and Devera Quarles; and his brother Harold Quarles (Gloria). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
