She was predeceased by: her parent Ellis William Hale; her husband Moorman Davis Witt, Sr.; and her siblings, Frances Gillespie, Mildred Moore, Lucy Brizendine and Paul Hale.

She is survived by: her parent Margaret Correll Hale; her children, Pete Switzer (Ann), Debbie McCullough (George) and Glenna Delp (Terry Early); her grandchildren, Matthew McCullough, Joanie Mason, Matthew Switzer, Kimberly Switzer, Ashley Phillips and Victoria Early; and her siblings, Mamie Austin, Rose Dooley, Charlotte Brizendine, Arthur Hale, Lee Hale and Ralph Hale.
