It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francis Eugene Curd of Thaxton, Virginia, born in Monroe, Virginia, who passed away on November 20, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Haywood Lee Curd and Sadie Katherine Hume Curd; his wife Marion Webb Curd; and his sister Shirley K. Powell. He is survived by: his children, Michael E. Curd, Debra A. Anderson (Mack) and Rebecca C. Austin (Greg); his brother-in-law David L. Webb; his grandchildren, Christopher Curd, Sarah Curd, Jason Wessel, Jena Bright, Stacie Anderson, Cody Reynolds and Kristin Reynolds; and his close friend Bess Burruss. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
