He is survived by: his children, Walter Witten Howery, Jr. of Manassas, VA and Kathy Lynn Howery of Knoxville, TN; his sister Joyce H. Christian (David) of Baptist Valley, VA; his grandchildren, Nathan "Punkin" Howery, Shane Howery and Lena Howery; and his close friend Donald Linkous.
