She was predeceased by: her mother Sadie Proffitt; and her brothers, H. P. Proffitt, Yacht Proffitt and Jack Proffitt. She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Hill (Paul, Jr.) of Eubank, Isaac Gillespie of Concord and Daniel Gillespie of Greensboro; her grandchildren, Bryn Ramey (Jolena) of London, Dawn Renfro (Lonnie) of Wichita Falls and Benjamin Gillespie (Felicity) of Rutherford, Virginia; her brother Major Proffitt of Flint, Michigan; and her close friend Barbara DeBord of Somerset.
