It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Wesley Cecil of Tazewell, Virginia, who passed away on November 30, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Cecil and Beatrice Cecil; and his sister Dreyan. He is survived by: his wife Deborah; his children, Samuel (Heather) of Silverdale and Jennifer; his grandchildren, Catelyn and Hayden of Silverdale; his sister Robin Gorashi (Masood) of Walla Walla; and his brother-in-law Bob Beavers of Radford, Virginia..
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to: The Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1999, Memphis, TN 38101, -Causes near and dear to Samuel's heart to which he proudly made donations regularly. In a final act of nobility, Samuel has elected to donate his remains to the Wake Forest University School of Medicine, a facility which played an integral part in the diagnosis and treatment of Samuel's Rheumatoid Arthritis.
