He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward S. Yost and Bessie K. Crutchfield Yost; his daughter Deborah Sheffey; and his siblings, Ernest Yost, Mary K. McCann, Frances McFarland and Nancy Bailey.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice Yost; his daughter Carolyn Jackson; and his siblings, Richard Yost and Betty Taylor (David) of Tazewell, VA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren.
