It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Otis Jackson Carter of Tazewell, Virginia, who passed away on November 14, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Carter and Hattie Nash Carter; his siblings, William, Jimmy Carter and Ann Medlin; and his brother-in-law Glen Miles.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rosemary Vanhoozer (Tom) of Tazewell, VA and Suzanna Repass (Doug) of Bluefield, VA; his sisters, Mary Ellen Miles of Rustburg, VA, Priscilla Leedy (Howard) of Bluefield, WV, Betty French of Charlottesville, VA and Margaret Medlin of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Thomas Vanhoozer, Andrew Vanhoozer, Sean Repass and Adam Repass; and his great grandchildren, Noah Repass, Ian Repass and Violet Repass.
