He was predeceased by: his parents, Lemuel Devoce Powers and Mabel Ruth Davis Powers; and his brother Terry Powers. He is survived by: his wife Norma Gay Thompson Powers; his children, Candice Michelle Brown (Martin) of Helena, AL, Dennis Keith Proffitt of North Tazewell, VA and Vincent Isaac Powers (Kristen) of Raven, VA; his siblings, Kenny Powers of Wilmington, NC and Cathy Schwedler (Terry) of Hickory, NC; and also Ray. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
