He was predeceased by: his parents, James E and Mary S Hughes; and his siblings, Susan Adair Powell, James Patrick Hughes and David Lee Hughes.
He is survived by: his wife Tammy Hughes; and his son James Hughes (Ashley). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as grandchildren.
