She was predeceased by: her parents, William Edgar and Cynthia Suetta Stevenson Akers; and her siblings, Mary Sue Shutt, Betty Griffith, Edith Ann Jackson, Albert Akers and Bill Akers.
She is survived by: her husband Jim Congrove; her daughters, Julie Ferris (Donnie) of Pulaski, Kim Payne (Brian) of Rocky Gap, VA and Lisa Marie Congrove of Ohio; her sisters, Nancy Altizer of Tazewell, VA, Patsy Daniel (Sam) of Tazewell, VA, Linda Akers of Tazewell, VA and Christine King (J. E. King) of Abingdon, VA; her grandchildren, Noah, Ryan, Ethan, Emily and Shawn; and her great grandchild Hunter.
