He was predeceased by: his parents, James Elmer Puckett and Myrtle Lucille Herald Puckett; his nephew Stacy Nunley; and his brother Larry Joe Puckett. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Newman Puckett; his brother James Daniel Puckett (Linda) of Bristol; and his extended family, Scott Puckett, Victoria Nunley, Jaime Borden, Michael Puckett and Bryan Puckett.
