He was predeceased by: his parents, John Newton Lambert and Delphie Eleanor Bentley Lambert; his siblings, Carl Cecil Lambert, George William Lambert and Mary Agnes Kimberlin; and his son-in-law Michael Simmons, Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Maggie Ruth Lambert of Tazewell, VA; his children, John C. Lambert, Jr. (Susan) of Tazewell, VA, Karen Lynn Cutshall (Tim) of Afton, TN and Mary Kay Lambert of Tazewell, VA; and his sisters, Neely Ann Leach (James) of Gratton, VA. and Delphie Ellen Lambert of Gratton, VA.. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home (232 Ben Bolt Ave, Tazewell, VA 24651). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
John was a very strong, determined individual who fought a brave battle with Parkinson's disease—never giving in or giving up.
