She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Severt and Myrtle Smith Severt; her former husband James Cameresi; her husband George Akers; her son Carl Anthony Cameresi; and her siblings, Shirley Gardner, Wanda Wilburn, Elaine Cox, Steward Severt and Clarence Severt.
She is survived by: her grandson Aaron Cameresi of Princeton; her daughter-in-law Donna Cameresi of Bluefield, VA; and her siblings, Junior Severt, Everett Severt (Brenda) of Bluefield and Thelma Comerose of Princeton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
