It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Joseph Karnes of Tazewell, Virginia, born in Harrisburg, Illinois, who passed away on December 25, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fern Karnes and Vera Karnes; and his siblings, Larry Logston and Donna Logston. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Karnes; his children, Jeffrey Joseph Karnes of Gray, TN, Todd Anthony Karnes of Tazewell, VA and Sheila Kay Karnes; his sister Helen Markovich of Arizona; his grandchildren, Virginia, Skylor, Anthony, Trey and Haleigh; his great grandchild Bradley; his sister Christine; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Pruitt and Mildred McClanahan. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and his four legged friend.
