He was predeceased by: his parent Edward Herald; and his siblings, Myrtle Herald Puckett, Eugene, Robert, Norman and Donald Herald.
He is survived by: his parent Bertha Brown Herald; his sons, Edward Herald (Glenda) and Craig Herald (Connie); his brother William "Bill" Herald (Margaret) of Tazewell, VA; his grandchildren, Rick Herald (Connie) of Gray, TN, Marcus Herald (Amy) of League City, TX and Leslie Herald of Bluefield, WV; and his son Ryan Herald.
