He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Buford Hackney and Phyllis Ann Hackney (Justus); his daughters, Lindsay Starnes (Jeff) of Grundy, VA and Rachel Ventura (John) of Suffolk, VA; his fiancée Karen Lockhart; his children, Zach Lockhart and Matt Lockhart; his grandchildren, Savannah, Aubrey Lockhart of North Tazewell, VA, Madison Hackney, Rachael Lester, Ryleigh Starnes, Evan Starnes, Easton Starnes, Ella Ventura and Alanna Ventura; his siblings, Brian Hackney, Thomas Hackney, Teresa McClanahan and Sybilla Benfield; and his nieces and nephews, An-Rhytts Hackney, Erik Hackney, Emilee Hackney, Tara Stiltner, Todd Stacy and Austin Benfield.
