He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Patterson Cruey and Mercedes Cruey; and his granddaughter Amber D. Cruey. He is survived by: his wife Kay Cruey of Thompson Valley, VA; his sons, James B. Cruey, Jr. (Rebecca) of Tazewell, VA, Thomas P. Cruey of Rockdale, TX and Jeffrey W. Cruey (Jennifer) of Lebanon, VA; and his brother Wade Cruey (Kathy) of Wrights Valley, VA. He is also survived by several sisters, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
